At the first time I have my immich instance running, I found that the date and date-time format is displaying in a different language than what I set on the account setup. For example, the date time displaying here is in Thai, while the rest are all English.
I don't know if this is a norm for some countries, but for us Thai ... it feels a little weird to have our language displays on applications that is set to English.
After digging a little bit, I found that I the locale comes from the system/browser default. Since my system is Thai, the date and date-time is in Thai while the rest is English.
I have to manually override the locale to en-US to make it displays entirely in English.
As a result, if I let people signed up on the server, I would have to tell them to override this setting manually everytime someone join the server.
I think, it would be better to let the user choose their locale on the setup and then the application extract the language from the locale. Of course finetuning would be appreciated, but I don't think it's necesarry.
